The "Libya Clean" Exhibition for Environment and Sanitation Services began on Monday, December 11, 2023, at the Tripoli International Exhibition Center. The exhibition is organized by Al-Nakhla Al-Mudhiah Company in collaboration with the Renewable Energy Authority and ran for four days. The exhibition witnessed participation from various institutions, agencies, and companies specializing in environmental and sanitation services. This exhibition is the first of its kind in Libya, bringing together a selection of specialists and researchers interested in environmental and sanitation fields. The opening ceremony was attended by several prominent figures, including the Minister of Environment, the Deputy Minister of Economy and Trade, and the Chairman of the Renewable Energy Holding Company. Speeches were delivered emphasizing the importance of the environment and the need to provide clean living spaces for citizens, with a focus on developing sanitation services in various locations. Following the opening ceremony, the guests toured the exhibition halls, where they explored the pavilions and displays from companies and institutions involved in the environmental and sanitation sectors. During the tour, guests visited the Renewable Energy Authority’s booth, where they received explanations about the plans and programs being implemented by the Authority, especially after the Prime Minister's announcement of the launch of the National Strategy for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency. This event strengthens the efforts of the Renewable Energy Authority in raising awareness about the importance of environmental sustainability and the development of sanitation services, contributing to improving the quality of life in society. Exhibition visitors praised the Authority’s booth, considering it a model of excellence within the exhibition.
