This morning, Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at the headquarters of the Renewable Energy Authority in Tripoli, a cooperation memorandum was signed between the Renewable Energy Authority and the Faculty of Energy Technologies – AjKHRA.

The memorandum was signed on behalf of the Authority by Eng. Nasr Eldin Mohamed Al-Barqali, Board Member, and on behalf of the Faculty by Mr. Abdelmalek Issa, Dean of the Faculty.

The memorandum stipulates enhancing joint cooperation in the fields of renewable energy and energy efficiency, particularly regarding pilot projects, preparing scientific, economic, technical, and environmental studies and research, as well as organizing conferences and workshops. This aims to support the localization of renewable energy projects and the development of energy efficiency initiatives.

This step comes as a consolidation of the Renewable Energy Authority’s direction towards deepening academic and technical integration in the fields of renewable energy and energy efficiency, which strengthens research and applied cooperation, serves the national strategy for renewable energy and energy efficiency, and enhances the capabilities of state institutions to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.
