The Renewable Energy Authority Signs a Memorandum of Understanding with Benghazi Medical Center to Develop the Center’s Electrical Network

As part of its efforts to expand cooperation with national institutions and promote the use of sustainable energy technologies, a delegation from the Renewable Energy Authority—headed by Eng. Osama Bouferda, Member of the Authority’s Board of Directors, and the Head of the Authority’s Eastern Region Office, accompanied by several department and office directors—visited Benghazi Medical Center, where a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the two parties on Thursday morning, 13 November 2025.

The MOU aims to upgrade the electrical network within the medical center using modern, environmentally friendly renewable energy systems, ensuring stability and sustainability of the power supply in critical departments.

This cooperation comes within the framework of the National Strategy for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency, which the Authority is working to implement across various vital sectors, in support of the transition toward clean energy and the improvement of public service efficiency in Libya
