On August 15-16, 2023, Mr. Nasr Eddin Mohamed Al-Barqali, Board Member of the Renewable Energy Authority and representative of Libya on the Board of Trustees of the Regional Center for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (RCREEE), participated in the 21st Board meeting held in Rabat, Morocco.

Meeting Details:

The meeting was chaired by Engineer Mohamed Yargit, a member of the Board of Trustees from Mauritania, who passed the presidency to Engineer Mohamed Ohmid, a member from Morocco. Holding this meeting in Morocco was seen as a step forward to enhance the center’s activities and regional stature, offering an opportunity to share Morocco’s pioneering experience in the energy transition sector.

Discussion Topics:

The meeting addressed several key issues concerning the development of the center’s work, including planned programs for the upcoming period, which include training programs and projects for member countries, including Libya. At the end of the meeting, members expressed their sincere gratitude to the Moroccan Ministry of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development for their warm hospitality and efforts to make the event successful. They also thankedEngineer Mohamed Yargit for his leadership during his term and wished Engineer Mohamed Ohmid success in his new role. This participation reinforces the Renewable Energy Authority's commitment to supporting and developing sustainable energy projects in Libya and strengthening regional cooperation in this vital field.
