On March 7, 2023, the Renewable Energy Authority participated in the second Libyan-German Forum held in Tripoli, Libya. The forum was jointly organized by the Libyan Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture, the Arab-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the German Embassy in Libya.
The forum was attended by a number of prominent figures, including Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dabaiba, Minister of Economy and Trade Mohammed Al-Hawij, and German Ambassador to Libya Michael Ohnmacht, as well as representatives from the German Parliament and heads of chambers of commerce.
In his speech, the Prime Minister emphasized the importance of supporting economic forums to strengthen public-private partnerships in Libya. He praised the history of economic relations between Libya and Germany and their continuation despite the challenges.
Strengthening Cooperation:
Mr. Abdulaziz Al-Mikhlafi, President of the Arab-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry, highlighted the efforts made to activate the role of German companies in the construction and development process in Libya, emphasizing the long history of economic cooperation between the two countries.
Workshops:
The forum continued on March 7 and 8, and included workshops on challenges and opportunities in the energy and business sectors. Meetings were also held between Libyan businessmen and German energy companies.
This forum represents a valuable opportunity to enhance cooperation between Libya and Germany in the fields of energy and development, and reflects the Libyan Renewable Energy Authority's commitment to developing strategic partnerships in the sector.
