International Cooperation Office of the Renewable Energy Authority Participates in the First WEFE Nexus Working Group Meeting

As part of supporting national directions toward the sustainable management of natural resources, the International Cooperation Office of the Renewable Energy Authority participated in the first meeting of the Water-Energy-Food-Ecosystems (WEFE) Nexus Working Group, organized by the Ministry of Planning on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, in the capital, Tripoli.

The participation came within the framework of the Sustainable Transition and Partnership in Energy and Environment (STEP) project, in cooperation with GIZ Libya, where participants discussed mechanisms for joint coordination to achieve water, food, and energy security under climate challenges.

This step underscores the Authority’s commitment to enhancing integration among vital sectors and contributing to the development of a national action plan that embeds the principles of sustainable development and climate adaptation in Libya.
