As part of the ongoing cooperation between the Renewable Energy Authority and the General Electricity Company of Libya (GECOL), a coordination meeting was held on the morning of Sunday, July 5, 2026, at the headquarters of the Renewable Energy Authority, with representatives from both organizations in attendance to discuss a number of issues of mutual interest.

The meeting focused on preparations for several strategic projects, most notably the GoGreen Initiative, the Schools of the Future Project, and the Sadada Solar Project, which is being implemented in cooperation with TotalEnergies.

Participants also discussed mechanisms for coordinating with international organizations to support and advance renewable energy projects and strengthen opportunities for cooperation in this field. At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties agreed to continue their coordination efforts and hold follow-up meetings to finalize discussions on the proposed initiatives and monitor their implementation.
